I treat skin, and I treat all kinds of gut and upper respiratory problems.

On the skin side that means acne, eczema and topical steroid withdrawal — I work alot with acne at Chinese Doc, and almost always, I treat acne from the inside out.

For the gut, after the consult, and seeing your tongue and feeling your pulse, I would formula an effective prescription for you.

For upper respiratory, this includes flu and every kind of cough that comes through the door, including the stubborn ones — a dry cough at three months, a cough that has already outlasted a course of antibiotics, a cough that turns up only at night.

I also treat musculoskeletal pain with acupuncture — this is actually what my PhD is about. I treat all kinds of pain, including migraines, shoulder, neck and the knees.

Research

I am still research-active. Most recently I was a co-author on a randomized trial of accelerated acupuncture as an augmentation therapy for major depressive symptoms, run with doctors at the Institute of Mental Health and published in the Journal of Affective Disorders Reports in 2025.
