On Managing TSW by Recovered Patient

Hi Dr Mark,

There a lot of things I am still learning. These are the resources that I find useful.
  1. Ebook Link (Attached the soft copy as well for your convenience): http://grossbart.com/SkinDeep.pdf I find this book relatively useful, it helps to break the chain of negative thoughts. The psychological analysis is pretty accurate I can relate to it when I am reading. They also taught some relaxation technique (Benson technique and self-hypnosis) didn’t use them cause I find it difficult to understand. Read pages 98 &99.
  2. Louise Hay: Mind and Body Mediation (Audio): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4AYS8odaHY Highly recommended. Helps you to relax if you are able to focus. I realized the more relaxed you are, the less you will scratch.
  3. Louise Hay: Love your self: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJztdmZCqJQ&t=13s Sadly most skin patients including me have issue with loving yourself. It’s complicated (Read Dr. Ted book). I try mirror work, pretty useful. This is basically about encouraging/praising myself if I don’t scratch. It means “Do not self-blame!” This audio helps me to relax and fall asleep. Ideal for those who can’t focus.
  4. Joseph Murphy’s Power of Subconscious Mind: https://www.law-of-attraction-haven.com/support-files/power-subconscious-mind.pdf
That all. Hope this is helpful.
Regards,
Patient JC, Singapore
